from New Orleans to Waveland. Mississippi along with her boyfriend in a torrential rainstorm. New Orleans was flooding, you couldn’t see 3 feet in front of you & I was a nervous wreck! Not only did I have my own daughter I was also responsible for the safety of her boyfriend. “Alice’s Restaurant” came on the radio, looooooooong song funny & distracting me from my fear. When we got to MS the sun was shining, it was a beautiful day. Since then my daughter & I listen to it every Thanksgiving!
