Who in the NHS will be able to view my Summary Care Record?
[Ctr/Click to return to questions] Answer: Only those clinicians (doctors and nurses) to whom you have given expressed permission are able to view your Summary Care Record. They are given authorised access in advance through their individual Smartcard with its access limitations. To prevent mistakes or abuse, a system has also been put in place to alert the NHS to any unusual attempts to gain access. These are known as “Alerts”.
