Who holds the world record for the longest cigar ever made ?
This record is in the hands of Mr. Wallace Reyes of Gonzalez Habano Cigar Company in Tampa, Florida, and was made during the 11th Edition of The Cigar Heritage Festival 2006, on November 18, 2006. The cigar was 101 feet (30.78 meters) long. The master cigar maker of Tampa received the Guinness title after assembling the “Longest Cigar in the World”, in front of hundreds of people in the festival. The cigar weight 53.8, and was made with selected tobacco leafs from Honduras, Dominican Republic, and Ecuador with a cost in materials of over $3,500.00 US dollars. During the assembling of the cigar, Mr. Reyes was assisted by his wife Margarita, and around 14 specially train team of volunteers. Present in the event was the Major of Tampa, Hon. Pam Aorio, Arturo Fuentes, Sr., and many other city officials.
