The most points scored in a single game by a player was 100 points by Wilt Chamberlain, but if you consider how bad defense was in the first years of the NBA 100 points could have been easy to score. What is truly incredible is how Kobe scored 81 on the Raptors, and I give him more credit for that then Wilt, because he was making shots from at least 10 feet and Wilt was running a lay up drill.
