WHO HIT THE FIRST HOMERUN/GRANDSLAM OFF RANDY JOHNSON?
Pittsburgh’s Glenn Wilson was the first to take Johnson deep, tagging him (twice!) on 15-Sept-1988 in Montreal. (Wilson’s two solos were the only runs Unit allowed, the Expos winning 9-4, his first W.) Johnson first served up a grand slam on 19-Aug-1989 to Kansas City’s Jim Eisenreich, as the Royals routed the Mariners in Seattle, 13-5. Runners ahead of Eisy were Thurman, Stillwell, and Seitzer. Doesn’t seem to have done Johnson’s career any lasting harm, though.
