Who has used a CPAP machine to treat their sleep apnoea?
I know three people, well, who use CPAP machines. I’ll start with a man I know from the dog park. He would always complain about how he couldn’t sleep and I just thought that was the way he was. Then he had his sleep study test and they recommended a CPAP. The very next morning, after his first night using it, he showed up looking like a different person. Now, I would be one to notice this because I worked on a cardiac unit for 4 years. He showed up pink. He had always looked cyanotic….or bluish before. He wasn’t perfusing as we say or getting enough oxygen. He clearly got much more oxygen that first night with the CPAP. I was amazed. Now, that probably isn’t the typical change. Granted, he was really not a well man before he got the machine and so there was quite a dramatic difference for him. I had a boyfriend who used a CPAP, religiously. He never went anywhere he may have to sleep, without it. Since I didn’t know him from before he was using the CPAP I can’t give personal testimo
