Who has to pay child support when I move out at 18 but still in high school?

The age of child support termination is different from state to state. At any rate, if support is still due as long as you are in high school, the order won’t automatically switch. You dad will have to file for child support with the court. He’s also have to notify the court that you’re living with him before they stop taking child support out of his check & sending it to you mom. That doesn’t stop automatically, either.
