Who has the best recipe for slow cooking a pot roast?

On the night before I plan to serve the roast I brown it in a skillet and then put it over in a crock-pot. I deglaze the skillet and pour that over the roast and then add more water to almost cover the roast. I salt the roast and rub in some meat tenderizer while I’m browning it and I add a little more salt to the crock-pot but you can do that to taste. Then I put and onion in with the roast and about a third of a package of Lipton onion soup mix and let it cook until I’m ready to eat it. By the time you are ready to serve the roast it will be just about as tender as any roast you have ever eaten.
