Very sad and sweet it is, that old story, and there never yet was a heart which did not move in answer to it, as if we had come upon some long forgotten part of ourselves, as indeed we have. For whoever we may be there is a golden bell in each one of us and its call is never still. Usually it is a drowned bell.
