Who has fluoride added to the community water system?
(Back to Top) Over 300 million people in more than 40 countries worldwide enjoy the benefits of fluoridated water. In the United States, approximately 145 million people in more than 10,000 communities benefit from drinking fluoridated water. Arcata and the Jacoby Creek area water has been fluoridated for 40 years and currently uses a granular sodium fluoride. The cities of Eureka, Scotia, and Hoopa also fluoridate their water. Water in the rest of the county is not fluoridated.
