Who handles the closing of the transaction?
Again, it is your responsibility to assemble all the necessary forms and information for closing along with ordering title insurance. In the event that you do not elect the independent attorney services as offered, closing services are available through Universal Title and Closing. The title company would prepare all the necessary closing documents, including the ordering of the title insurance policy, which is the sellers’ expense and responsibility to provide for the buyer. A title company representative will assist to schedule and co-ordinate the closing and attend the closing. If you choose not to use any of the closing services as offered, we strongly recommend that you retain your own real estate attorney to represent you to perform these closing and title services.
