Who governs the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce, and what is its affiliation with the Greater OHare Association (GOA)?
The governing body of the Chamber is a 15-member Board of Directors selected by a vote of Elk Grove Chamber members. From among that body, a chairperson and other officers are selected. The Chamber functions autonomously in creating programs and providing initiatives specific to Elk Grove businesses. The EGCC is an affiliate of the GOA, which provides staffing and professional assistance to the Chamber. Elk Grove Chamber members get the best of both worlds. They are members of both the EGCC and GOA for one member rate. This means that members enjoy the exclusivity of belonging to the Elk Grove Chamber of Commerce while drawing on the vast resources of the Greater O’Hare Association, a strong regional Chamber of Commerce.
