Who governs Genetic Alliance BioBank?
The BioBank is governed by representatives of the participating disease advocacy organizations and experienced outside directors from a variety of disciplines. Each member organization governs and stewards their sample collection. The Genetic Alliance BioBank Institutional Review Board, registered with the Office of Human Research Protections (OHRP), holds GABB responsible for compliance with all legal, ethical and social regulations and guidances. The Genetic Alliance Board of Directors oversees the fiscal management and annual audit.
