Who gets the Market-Based Rate charge?
Customers who return from Choice to Consumers Energy Full Service will be subject to the Market-Based Rate if they return: 1. For summer, without providing the prior December 1 notice. 2. Before completion of their Electric Choice two-year minimum term. 3. Any other time of the year when proper notice is not met. Additionally, customers subject to the December 1 notice requirement, that return to Consumers Energy Full Service without having provided proper notice, will be charged a 10% summer adder for June through September.
