Who funds New Century Scholars?
New Century Scholars is a locally funded initiative. For each new scholarship, $500.00 is raised and designated to support a student s participation in New Century Scholars. Each new NCS group is chosen based on the number of individual awards that can be supported. The funds raised for this group are pooled and used for the collective benefit of the students in that class. Funding currently comes from local businesses, individuals, clubs, organizations, and fundraisers. All funds raised for NCS scholarship awards are held until graduation and used for tuition and fee payments. Occasionally we ask that students assist with fundraising efforts. By participating in fundraising activities, students learn that their efforts help to sustain the New Century Scholars program.
