Who founded George Mark Children’s House?
The House was founded in 1997 by Dr. Kathleen Nicholson Hull Psy. D., a clinical psychologist, as a tribute to her two brothers; George, who died of cancer at age 30, and Mark, who died in a car accident at the age of 16. The House was co-founded in collaboration with Barbara Beach, M.D., a Pediatric Oncologist at Children’s Hospital in Oakland. Dr. Beach is GMCH’s Medical Director.
