Who enforces the Pleasanton Municipal codes?
The Pleasanton Municipal Code (PMC) is enforced by several City of Pleasanton employees. Police officers enforce personal violations of the code including animal/alcohol/noise/juvenile/vehicle/park violations. Community Service Officers enforce animal/vehicle violations. Animal Service Officers enforce animal related sections of the code. Code Enforcement Officers enforce zoning/building/property violations. Code Enforcement Officers always attempt to resolve violations through public education and courtesy requests for code compliance. If violations are not abated within a timely manner, code enforcement resolves violations by either an administrative citation or a compliance order. Administrative citations are usually issued for violations, which do not involve the zoning ordinance, such as encroachment or garbage violations.
