Who else thinks EMA is pathetic?
It’s disgusting. Believe it or not I actually emailed Ed Balls (secretary of state of education) about it a few weeks ago. I’m 16, studying for A-Levels and almost everybody I talk to gets EMA. Even the ones who live in the villages and went to private schools! If their parents are self-employed they can fiddle the books and make out they’re skint. It’s pathetic. All it does is get kids into college who quite frankly, don’t want to be there. Everyone I know spends it on fags, shopping sprees and alcohol. It’s an insult to me, and I’m sure it is to you too, that they spend our parents hard earnt money on things like this. If they want money, I say go and get a job like I did. People should want to continue education for their OWN benefit, not because they’re getting bribed with money for God’s sake. There’s no reward for hard work in this life I’m afraid.
