Who else likes the new “smack-talking” Daleks better than the old pepperpots?

These Daleks are part of the “Cult of Skaro”. They were specially engineered and assigned to think as their enemies, in order to better understand and eventually overcome them through the use of cunning and imagination, rather than logic. They are rather different from the typical Dalek in this way, and even have been adopted names to enhance their uniqueness and separation form the rest of the Dalek race. So yeah! I like ’em. They threw down with the Cybermen! That in itself is pretty rockin’ and a step up from previous uber-Daleks. Their use of sarcasm and vernacular is pretty in-step with the new series and is really enjoyable. ————– Now here’s something I CAN’T seem to accept with open arms just yet: The Doctor’s use of his sonic screwdriver as a weapon that he yields like Harry Potter’s wand. Not that Doctor Who has ever been the model of air-tight continuity or plausible reason, but this seems a little much.
