Who else knew about Adrenal Glands?
So, I got sucked in to an infomercial over a month ago because the cheesiness was to die for! Turned out, the producers did not make a sale with my viewing, but I did learn something… I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism just under a year ago, and was put on medication almost immediately. I thought the diagnosis would be the end of my six-year-long nightmare full of strange menstrual issues, sleepless nights, incredible moody swings, sloth-like energy, and overwhelming weight-gain. Turned out I was wrong. My body responded to the medication well, in that my T-4 levels went back to normal. However, every symptom driving me crazy did not lessen, most of all my weight. When my doctor’s vacation overlapped my scheduled check up, systematically ending my prescription refill, leaving me with two solid weeks without medicine before her return, I decided it was a sign that I should forget about the meds and find a new doctor, because clearly, this hadn’t been the answer.
