Who else is using CEHTP geocoding tools?
CEHTP geocoding tool has been widely used by various organizations statewide. For example, the tool has been used to geocode locations of cancer cases, asthma hospitalizations, reported dead birds for West Nile Virus surveillance, and autism cases for study about agricultural pesticide applications and autism. The Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Control Branch within CDPH, used CEHTP geocoding tools to map cases of gonorrhea and to develop census tract-level maps of rates for all 58 counties. They identified the top 5% of census tracts with the most cases in order to work with local health departments to develop interventions targeting specific populations at risk. CEHTP geocoding tool was used to geocode licensed environmental laboratories as part of an emergency preparedness exercise.
