Who else hates the stigma towards mental health issues?

Beliefs about mental illnesses that bother me: – Sufferers are “crazy”, have no sense of judgment and need to be locked up – Sufferers can just wish them away with willpower – They don’t exist in the first place / were just made up by the drug companies – They’re extremely simple conditions that can be diagnosed on the basis of one or two symptoms (ie. “oh god I must have OCD because I alphabetize everything!”) I really think psychology should be a required subject in high school. No one needs to become an expert if they don’t want to, but I think learning some basics of mental health issues can get rid of a lot of misunderstanding that goes on.
