Who else agrees that over-population is one of the main problems in the world?
Overpopulation is by far one of the most serious problems in the world since we each require a place to live and a place to grow food. As our population continues to increase, we displace other life forms. When combined with heavy resource consumption by each of us, the problem is made far worse. As has been said many times, if all people lived like those in the first world, we would need the resources from several Earth’s in order to sustain ourselves. So unless we plan to be cruel and limit the quality of life of those in less developed countries we have to both reduce our consumption of resources and reduce our population. The actions need not be drastic, but could simply start with education outlining the problems of increasing population followed by tax incentives for those who choose to have fewer children.
