The Town Board is elected at large by the entire Town of Greenburgh, which includes the six incorporated villages of Ardsley, Hastings, Elmsford, Irvington, Tarrytown and Dobbs Ferry, as well as the unincorporated areas of the town, the largest of which are known as Fairview, Hartsdale, East Irvington and Edgemont. The population of the incorporated villages is 52% of the total population in Greenburgh (2000 Census).
