Who doesn hate Bon Appetit magazine?
As I browsed the boards, was very surprised to see how may Chowhounds despise Bon Appetit magazine – especially since its facelift last winter. I have always liked this magazine, and I absolutely adore it now. I look forward to reading every single issue. I think the redesign is hip and I feel the recipes are right up my alley (and I feel like I’m a pretty accomplished cook, if I do say so myself). My one complaint is that BA has become much thinner recently, as has Gourmet. I judge my magazines by the usefulness of the recipes. (For this reason, I also subscribe to Cooking Light, Everyday Food and Fine Cooking.) Without a doubt, I usually make at least three recipes out of each BA issue. Most of my BA issues are tattered and the pages are stuck together – the sign of any great magazine or cookbook. So – is anyone with me? Who likes the new BA?
