Who does the restoration and repair?
Ed Norse began working in restoration in 2000 when he first moved to Connecticut. His parish priest at the time had a large, indoor statue of Mary with several fingers that had to be repaired and replaced. Not knowing anything about it, he sought out those who did, and learned the materials and techniques necessary to “repair just about anything” as he now puts it. It is an avocation, that has rewards “far beyond anything you can imagine,” as he puts it.
