Who does the Maryland Food Bank serve?
The Maryland Food Bank provides food to the soup kitchens, food pantries, emergency shelters, low-income day care centers, after-school programs, senior centers, rehabilitation centers, and other feeding programs. In all, our network consists of 1,000 Network Partners. Through these programs, the Maryland Food Bank serves more than 235,000 people annually. This population includes families with children, the elderly, the homeless, the homebound, low-income workers, the recently unemployed, and people with AIDS and other health problems. More than one third of the people served in these programs are children and the elderly.
