Who does Health Management view as its competitors?
When Health Management established the niche of operating hospitals in non-urban communities there was little direct competition from hospitals or outpatient facilities. Gradually, over time, Health Management’s markets became more competitive as they grew, and the Company acquired hospitals in more competitive markets. Today, Health Management has direct hospital competition in approximately 70% of its markets and some form of outpatient competition in every market. By focusing on being the industry leader in quality and customer satisfaction, Health Management sees opportunity to differentiate itself from the competition and increase market share.
