Who does emergency planning and business continuity apply to?
The Civil Contingencies Act 2004 places statutory duties on a number of organisations to work together (e.g. emergency services, local authorities, health services and other government and private sector organisations) so that they can effectively respond, individually and collectively, to emergencies. Emergencies can affect everyone and therefore we all need to consider how we can prepare ourselves for the unexpected.
