Who does CIS Help?
While Communities in Schools of East Texas focus our services on ‘at-risk’ students, we also provide services to the entire student body. Communities in Schools of East Texas places full time professionals (Youth Service Coordinators) on school campuses which have significant (40% or higher) populations of students that are considered ‘at-risk’ of repeating a grade level or dropping out of school. We provide direct services in conjuction with school staff, including (but not limited to) social work case management, student supplies, mentoring, and character building programs.
