Who do you think would win between Manny Pacquiao and Paul Williams?
Paul Williams. He has a high work rate–throws large volume of punches–he’s slick, he has the biggest reach in his normal weight division, he’s extremely tall, and don’t forget, his southpaw stance may trouble Manny since Manny’s been fighting fighters with conventional stance for a long time. Manny’s been moving up and dominating many divisions, but Paul Williams has enough height and reach to be able to go Heavyweight one day. I’m not saying Pac has no chance though. I was in doubt that anyone would ever beat Williams, then came along Quintana. Quintana is a southpaw who’s not the greatest, but ended up defeating Williams with good left hand straights. Pac is quick and could trouble Williams. But after being defeated, Williams has trained even harder and has improved. Williams does not want to lose anymore and it is the hunger to be recognized amongst the elite that makes Williams dangerous. I’d go with Williams. Not only would his reach keep Pacquiao from getting anything done but he also has power. As his brawl with Marquez showed, Pacquiao is uncomfortable with fighting inside when he doesn’t control the situation and gets a little too wild after getting tagged a few times. Someone with Williams’ height and power would easily frustrate Pacquiao all day and prevent him from getting anything done. I’d go with Wiliams but think Pacquiao is tough enough to hang on for a loss on points.
williams reminds me of thomas hearns, both of them are freaks at 147, unnatural height and power/reach, manny will stay well clear of him, people talked about hatton being much bigger than pacman, williams would dwarf hatton and de la hoya, williams is the most avoided guy in boxing at the moment, him and dawson, so manny will be avoiding him
