Who do you think is the best hip-hop artist recently?
Kid Cudi. In my opinion while Drake showed promise before, now I view him as another slightly above average hip-POP artist who caters to the casual listeners who just get their stuff off the radio or whatever ( Especially now that he’s signed to Lil’ Wayne’s label). Best I Ever Had has been one of his most popular songs from the start and that’s unfortunate because it really isn’t the song that brings out most of his skills, BUT it is a sure fire hit as we are all witnessing. Everybody knows by now that rap songs mixed with a little singing and a catchy chorus takes artists places they’ve never been before. While some people have known about Drake for months, it kinda irks me when casual fans who just heard his song a week ago go, “OMGZ DID U HEAR BEST I EVER HAD BY DRAKE?! ITZ SO AMAZING!!!!”. K, now do both yourself AND Drake a favor by listening to something other than one song. Honestly though if it’s money he’s after and not to be an aspiring artist than he’s on the right path. Wo
