Who do the Workers Compensation schemes apply to?
Workers’ Compensation Acts are provincial and territorial legislation so the particulars of each statute may vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. However, generally speaking, the Acts apply automatically and the coverage is compulsory for most employment. In many jurisdictions, this is achieved by applying the coverage to all employers and workers by industry group.
