P1 type provisional licence holders under 25 years of age can only carry one passenger under the age of 21 years who is not an immediate family member, when driving between 11pm and 5am. Peer passenger restrictions do not apply to those licensed before 1 July 2007, or to drivers who hold a P2 type licence.
