Who do I contact to make a complaint regarding a school?
The Local Authority has a dedicated complaints procedure relating to schools. All complaints must be registered with the school by contacting the Headteacher. Most issues can be resolved by dealing directly with the Headteacher. However, should you feel your complaint has not been dealt with satisfactorily, you must contact the governing body writing to the Chair of Governors care of the school. Please mark the letter private and confidential. Very few complaints will be raised to governor level, however, we hope those that do are resolved quickly and comprehensively. If, after dealing with both the Headteacher and the Chair of Governors, your complaint has not been dealt with satisfactorily, please then contact the Education Helpdesk on 01753 875700. Complaints can only be referred to the Education Helpdesk after completing all previous steps.
