Who do I call to report a sewer backup?
Residents are urged to refrain from disposing of cooking grease and large foreign objects in the sewer system. Should you experience a sewer blockage, please call the city, and city crews will be dispatched to inspect the city main line to determine if the cause of the blockage is in the service connection or city main line. This inspection service is provided at no cost to the resident. Blockages in the city main will be cleared by city personnel. This service is available 24 hours per day. Call 651-982-2444 on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. For blockages at any other time, call the Anoka County Dispatch Center at 763-427-1212. The dispatch operator will contact the appropriate staff people. Blockages in service connections are the responsibility of the property owner.
