For general animal complaints the public should call the Police Department at (248) 674-0351 prompt #2. If the animal is posing an imminent threat to the public’s safety, please 911. The Township has an ordinance pertaining to “nuisance dogs”. Sec. 3-2 Nuisance Dog (a) No person owning or harboring a dog shall permit his dog to bark often enough and loud enough to constitute a nuisance to adjacent occupiers of land. (b) No dog shall be permitted at any time to run freely or unrestrained upon the private property of another without consent. (c) Any resident of the Township aggrieved by a violation of paragraphs (a) and (b) of this section may seek enforcement directly through the office of the Township Attorney.
