Who discovered the Adelie or Emperor penguins ?
Nobody knows. The first discoverers of Antarctica saw many on the shores, but it’s also possible to see them farther north, resting on floating pieces of ice, so even explorers of southern seas who didn’t reach Antarctica saw many in the 18th century.
