Self-described gay man Kathy Griffin showed up at yesterday’s taping of the 2009 Teen Choice Awards with Levi Johnston, according to Celebrity Corner. Yes, that Levi Johnston, the totally hot 19-year-old redneck ex of Bristol Palin, daughter of incoherent ex-Governer of Alaska Sarah Palin. Griffin joked that the two have been a couple for quite some time now: “Long-distance relationships are not easy, especially when he’s in his igloo and I’m in my Hollywood tower.” When Johnston was asked what it was like being Griffin’s date for the show, he smiled and said, “‘I just, you know, look at her, shut up and do what I’m told.'” Johnston was also in LA for a photo shoot with Vanity Fair. Griffin has had a busy year. The fifth season of her show, My Life On the D-List and her stand-up show, “She’ll Cut A Bitch” have both received Emmy nominations this year.
