Who develops and administers the various ECG Board Certification Examinations?
The ABCM assembles advisory panels of experts on four levels of practice. All of the advisors are Board Certified Cardiologists, Nurses, and Technologists, who write and review questions. Depending on the specialty, the committee consists of non-acute, acute, interventional, nursing and medical academicians, and practitioners. Each question is reviewed twice by the exam committee, then revised or rejected as appropriate. As a final step, questions are rated for relevance to clinical practice by active clinicians.
