The model was developed by the Canadian Nurse Practitioner Initiative, managed by the Canadian Nurses Association, and funded by Health Canadas Primary Health Care Transition Fund. It was developed in collaboration with MedEmerg Inc., government representatives, NPs, and employers. The model is a product designed to support the sustained integration of NPs in Canada.
