Who determines what class my child will be in next year?
A. At the end of the year grade level teacher teams work together to compile class lists for new and continuing students, with input from any support staff involved with the students, from information forms turned in by parents, and from the principal. The teams work to meet each child’s needs and achieve classroom balance in high, middle and low achievers, genders, special needs, work habits, and behavioral considerations. Forms for parents to express information about their student(s) are available in the school office and are due this Friday. You may not request specific teachers. All placements are subject to last minute changes to accommodate new enrollees and any other unexpected situations. For this reason, you are not notified of your child’s placement until the beginning of next year, as described below.
