Who determines how much George Mason University is funded in General Fund money from the Commonwealth?
The Governor for the Commonwealth of Virginia submits a budget recommendation for approval by the General Assembly based on our requests. If specific items that we requested are not included in the recommendation, we request amendments during the legislative session. The legislature makes the final decision as to what General Fund support will be designated for George Mason University.
