We believe good design makes a difference. So does layout, natural light, and color. We worked closely with local architect John Badami of DLR in Lincoln to create the best usage of space: a blend of function and atmosphere. As you go through these homes, the thoughtful layout quickly becomes apparent. For example, the door leading to the deck is a large, sliding glass door. Sure, it’s cheaper to put in a single door but then you compromise light and we weren’t willing to do that. And sure, it would have been cheaper not to put a water source on each deck but then it’s harder to water your tomato plants or flowers. And it would have been cheaper to use laminate countertops and pressed-wood cabinets as in most homes of this price point (and even higher!) but we used solid maple and solid, thick granite. And really, it would have been much cheaper to use beige vinyl for the exterior, but by selecting Hardiplank we were able to give you a more tactile home and better appearance from your
