Who Defeats Alucard in Hellsing?
Since the Major knows that Alucard is able to absorb blood (and therefore the souls of those beings), his plan was to have Schrodinger cut off his own head and allow Alucard to absorb him along with the rest of London blood. Because Schrodinger is now mixed in with all these souls, he is no longer aware of himself and, as a result, neither is Alucard. The Major describes Alucard as being a set of imaginary numbers and then Alucard fades away leaving behind the Hellsing seal on the ground. 30 years later though Alucard returns because it took him that long to destroy all but one of the souls inside of him. Now, Alucard is able to recognize himself and has gained Schrodinger’s power, as well. Not the easiest concept to grasp, but that’s what makes Hellsing great =).
