All of the librarians assist in selecting materials. Priority is given to books and media, which enhance student learning. The library is happy to receive your suggestions. Suggested items, which enhance student learning, will be purchased as the budget allows. • Why doesn’t the library buy textbooks for every class? The library does not have the budget to buy textbooks. Textbooks are primarily a student responsibility. However, some instructors choose to put a copy of the class text on “Reserve.” • Does the library accept donations of books or magazines? The library is happy to receive book dontations. Magazines, however, are not needed at this time. Donated books will be added to the library collection if they enhance student learning. Items not added to the collection are sold in the library book sale, the proceeds of which are used to purchase new books and films. Please contact the Acquisitions Department for more details at (408) 864-8439. • Does the library have group study room
