Who decides whether he/she is a Konark?
The Konark Selection Committee – which mainly consists of the senior management. Konarks can nominate other konarks every once a year & then these selections go to the KSC that in turn evaluates each & every person. If necessary they will be called in for an interview…based on this we identify konarks every year…Presently 10 per cent of the employees of the company are Konarks. Once selected as a konark, the employee remains a konark until the time he leaves the company or till he commits a great blunder [whichever comes first!] These konarks are the business leaders of tomorrow. They are the people who will carry the organization through to where ever we are planning to go. As such their training and development is done accordingly. In order to train the Konarks, Polaris has specifically designed the Konark Development Programs which much different from EDPs.
