Who decides what music is played, and when?

You can be as involved in the process of picking music as you would like to be. Typically, brides and grooms will to the manager’s house for a consultation and work on selecting a few key pieces, such as the processional, recessional and unity candle song. Other times, clients know what they want and have chosen songs from our repertoire list, or found songs they like on recordings and ask us to purchase that music. However, some clients ask us to make the selections for them and give them the list of song selections. We are are happy to do so and want to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable with the experience.

• A. You can have as much or as little to do with the decision making process as you like. Some people prefer us to decide, others prefer to have only some part in the decision making but not specifics as to what to play or not play, still others are very sure of what songs they would like to be included in the performance and when. At the initial consultation with a Summer Quartet representative, these specifics can be reviewed so that the group plays exactly what you would like to hear at your event.
