Who decides the priorities?
City staff developed the initial list of capital improvement project needs, including the originial 24 high priority projects. As the drainage basin studies are updated, additional project needs are likely to emerge and priorities may need to be adjusted. Storm events can also create additional project needs. Staff presents information about projects to the Citizen Stormwater Advisory Committee, which provides input to City Council. Staff presents its recommendations for project funding priorities to City Council, which approves the budget and spending plan annually.
