Who Decides A Hindu Marriage?
Hindu marriage is decided by parents and ofcourse guy and girl. Usually Parents find a family and girl or guy according to their finincial positions, social status, and guy’s qualifications and earning and what kind of girl he wants, housewife or earning wife. Guy and parents goes to see girl at her home. they talk for a while in group, if guy likes girl then he meets girl in personal (well this depends on families liberalness). If guy likes girl then guy’s parents tell mediator (usually mediator I mean middle person who sets up meetings who is related to both side families) to call girl’s family that they liked her and they plan for second visit or may be they liked so much then guy’s family invite girl’s family to guy’s home. and then things gets started from there. After that to approve all things, guy’s family goes to girl’s home to do one ritual in which guy’s mother give water to girl, which means that now officially leading to marriage.
